Just do your job, man.

People will pay hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars for SEO work done after the fact to try and remedy inexperience or poor decisions made by the interactive team who originally built out their site. The problem more often than not isn’t complexity of execution, it laziness. Plain and simple.

Much of the BEST work is done in the planning and development phase of site builds – saving clients money over the long run and reinforcing the professional standards and reputation of the studio or individuals who completed the work.

Combining the points in this article with semantic and accessible mark-up should be rolled into the “technocratic oath“ for the interactive design and development community.
