Project Details:
LAsameday.com™ is an extensive database and mapping system managed by local experts to provide unprecedented services for same-day visitors. It harnesses local knowledge and unique talent from every area of the State of Louisiana to appropriately represent each region and each experience and networks the vast Visitor Center resources from around the State to provide a seamless, timely, accurate, complete profile of travel services, events and routing throughout the State Of Louisiana – on any day of the week – 7 days a week.
Born out of an idea to give visitors to the State of Louisiana a more customized and curated travel experience, LASameday™ gives travel professionals throughout the state access to a database of over 5000 locations and over 2000 events.
The core of LASameday is a custom itinerary builder which allows welcome center staff to search the database of information, select from a number of locations rendered on a customize Google Map, and assemble a personalized itinerary for visitors. There is also a real-time network status feature that allows communication between locations. Using Travelocity’s XML Booking Engine API we built a customized hotel booking engine that is populated with hotel data from across the state.
LASameday™ was endorsed by the State of Louisiana as the travel tool of choice for its state-run welcome centers which service hundreds of thousands of visitors each year.
